I will actively avoid any other books ‘narrated’ by this person again as she simply doesn’t have the vocal range, dynamism & creativity to bring the story to life.

Well don’t expect that here!!! This was a narrator in the most basic sense - the equivalent of seeing an author read an excerpt from her book at a book launch. I’ve listened to several audiobooks over the last couple of years and a narrator can really create an immersive experience for the listener by making an effort to make characters sound different. But those efforts seemed pointless when the ‘Taoiseach’ was referred to several times - as those references won’t help the Yanks! The most grating part was the narrator. The back & forth of the timeline was exasperating at times when the same content was trotted out verbatim, just from the perspective of another character.
